Quick and easy recipe for tasty bombay sandwich for your snack. It is very famous in bombay side and loved by all. It is a go to recipe and moreover you can add more vegetables in it as per your preference and liking. Using oats bread for bombay sandwich will be a cherry on top. Basically it is a healthy recipe but with a twist of street flavors.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Bread – 8 slices
  • Onion – 2 medium size
  • Cucumber – 1 medium size
  • Tomato – 2 medium size
  • Potato – 2 medium size
  • Jaifall/Nutmeg powder – A pinch
  • Butter – 2 tbsp
  • Coriander, mint chutney – 1/2 cup
  • Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt
  • Chilli flakes – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Whole Black pepper – 5/6

DIRECTIONS FOR BOMBAY SANDWICH:

  • Peel, wash and cut the onions and cucumber into round shape.
  • Wash and clean the tomatoes and cut them into round shape.
  • Wash and boil the potatoes. Let them cool down Then remove the peel of potatoes and slice them into round shape too.
  • Remove the sides of the bread slices, apply butter and coriander and mint chutney on the slices
  • Place four slices of bread with chutney on a flat board, on top of that put onions, cucumber, tomato round pieces and potato slices on top of it.
  • Sprinkle a little chat masala, salt, and ground black pepper.
  • Cover each slice with bread slice with butter and press lightly.
  • Cut each sandwich into six equal parts and serve them with tomato ketchup.

You can also enjoy this sandwich with green mint chutney, red spicy sauce. This sandwich will taste divine with any sauce of your liking. Loved by kids, youngsters, and moreover elders. Breakfast recipe as it is not heavy. Any vegetable of your liking can be added. Crushed peanuts will add more enrich flavor in the sandwich.
