  • Bone chicken – 2 pounds
  • Buttermilk – 2 cups
  • All purpose flour – 2.5 cups
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil
  • Kashmiri mirch powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Paprika – 1tsp
  • Garlic powder – 1tsp
  • Onion powder – 1tsp
  • Dried thyme – 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder – 1tsp
  • Origano
  • Chili flakes

DIRECTIONS for fried chicken:

Wash and clean the chicken drumsticks. Then mix the chicken drumsticks in the buttermilk along with salt and pepper in it. Put this in refrigerator chill it for maximum 30 minutes.

Now take a bowl, add flour in it and then mix it nicely with all the dry powders (paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, pepper, and baking powder) in it. Mix it well and nicely than add water in it, stir well. Make this batter lump free and not too runny. Make batter enough thick for coating drumsticks. You can also coat dipped drumsticks in bread crumps or cornflakes to make them crispy and crunchy.

Now heat enough oil in a pan to fry the chicken drumsticks. Deep fry them in hot oil for 12-15 minutes until they are crispy and crunchy. Drain the excess oil from the chicken with a tissue paper or wire rack.

Your crispy tasty fried chicken is ready to serve with your favorite Sause and enjoy them. You can accompany fried chicken with mustard sauce, tandoori sauce, mint sauce. For more enrich flavor you can sprinkle some peri peri powder, chaat masala, oregano, chili flakes, onion powder.
